Overview
I developed a web application in PHP, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and React to manage visitor tracking for the Wedding Expo in Paris, which hosts approximately 40,000 visitors each event. This app enables event organizers to efficiently track visitors through ticket scanning while offering additional features to enhance engagement and analytics.
Key Features
- Ticket Scanning: The app integrates with ticket scanning devices to record visitor entries in real-time, ensuring accurate attendance records.
- Client Identification: An algorithm automatically identifies potential new clients (exhibitors) as they enter the fair. It retrieves their personal data and sends it via SMS to a sales team member for immediate engagement.
- Analytics Platform: The web application doubles as an analytics dashboard, allowing organizers to compare visitor statistics across different years, providing insights into attendance trends and visitor demographics.
Adaptive Vehicle Behavior
One of the unique aspects of our design was the car's ability to adapt to its environment. During the boot process, the vehicle calculated key constants—such as friction coefficients—based on initial tests. This adaptation allowed the car to account for environmental factors like rain or surface irregularities, improving traction and handling without manual intervention.
